Arnica - Acta Rerum Naturalium didactICA

Arnica is a scientific journal focused on research in primary, secondary, tertiary and lifelong education in the natural sciences. The goal of the journal is to develop professional discussion in the didactics of natural sciences and to support the transfer of scientific results to pedagogical practice. Thematically, the magazine is mainly focused on didactics of science subjects - mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, geography, geology and science-oriented cross-cutting topics, for example environmental education.

Bohemiae Occidentalis Historica

The journal Bohemiae Occidentalis Historica is the pilot periodical of the Department of History of the Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and the successor to the journal Dějepis (Proceedings of the Department of History), which was published until 2011. It is published twice a year and focuses primarily on historical topics across historical epochs associated with Western Bohemia, roughly defined by today's Pilsen and Karlovy Vary regions, but also with neighboring Bavaria, and also publishes prestigious research results outside these regions.

Inovace a technologie ve vzdělávání (ITEV)

The ITEV magazine has been published by the Technical Education Department of our faculty since 2018. The magazine is usually published twice a year and is focused on issues of innovation in technical and science education at various levels of education. Articles by Czech and foreign authors are published in Czech, Slovak, English and Polish. Detailed information is provided here.

Memo

The magazine MEMO (Magazine for Oral History) was founded on January 1, 2011 by the SOHI center at the Department of History of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Since then, the magazine has been published regularly twice a year. MEMO magazine is a peer-reviewed professional magazine. It focuses mainly on historical research using the oral history method and the application of this method to the teaching of history at primary and secondary schools, but also on contemporary history research using other historical, anthropological or sociological methods.

Musica Paedagogia Pilsnensis

In November 2021, the Department of Music Education and Culture of the Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen published the first issue of the new professional peer-reviewed magazine for music pedagogy Musica Paedagogia Pilsnensis, thereby entering the international arena of professional music pedagogy.The periodical, published twice a year online and at the same time in print, will provide a wide space for current music pedagogic topics. The studies are written in English in the range of 15-20 pages of text, and the content of the first issue already convinced us that Czech (and Slovak) music education and pedagogy has something to tell the international community.
