|Abstrakt EN:||Geomorphological mapping, analysis of DEM and aerial photos confirmed the reliability of the glacial morphological features presented by LUKNIŠ (1973). Therefore, moraine walls and polished rocks representative of particular stages of Lukniš´s chronology were chosen and dated by means of surface exposure dating (10Be nuclides). 3D models of glaciers belonging to individual stages were created in GIS. The system of Velká and Malá Studená Valleys and particularly the moraine assemblages at the right side of the Studený Brook were dated. According to the results obtained all the moraine systems outside the troughs developed during one glacial stage, corresponding with the broadly accepted last glacial maximum (18-20 kyr BP). Similarly, the moraines and other glacial features in the troughs and cirques are older than was suggested. The readvances at the trough of the Malá Studená Valley most likely occurred about 14 kyr BP. The glaciers finally retreated into the cirques about 10 kyr BP.|
